The Medical Device Service supports users of medical equipment across all of our hospital sites within the Northern Care Alliance. You will have a key role in supporting the department's responsibility for the maintenance, repair, and sub-contractor management of medical equipment. This will include first line support to users of medical equipment to optimize systems uptime to gain maximum use of medical equipment. Ideally, you will possess a minimum of HNC in Electronics and Clinical Engineering and have extensive experience since qualifying in the field of Medical Electronics. Knowledge in the application and repair of a wide range of medical equipment used in a hospital and community is essential, although some specific training will be provided. They will be working towards achieving compliance levels for medical device repair and maintenance, including downtime, and ensure that systems are available to enable clinical teams to have insight into progress with maintenance and repair of their devices.
