Situated in Moorooduc on the picturesque Mornington Peninsula, Devilbend Golf Club is home to an 18-hole course that is rapidly growing in both size and reputation. With a strong membership base of over 800 and 7-day public access, we pride ourselves on delivering a welcoming and inclusive environment for members and visitors alike. The Club is preparing to embark on an exciting full-scale Pro Shop renovation, guided by Transform Golf Shop Specialists, to enhance the member and guest experience. We are looking for a passionate, customer-focused leader to join our team and help drive our vision for growth and excellence. About the Role

As the Golf Operations Manager, you will oversee all facets of the club’s golf operations. Reporting to the General Manager, this pivotal role ensures smooth operations and excellence across member services, competitions, and retail management. The position is a Full-Time salaried position (38-hour week) plus there will also be coaching opportunities to supplement income outside rostered hours (for any applicant who is suitably PGA qualified.). Rostered working days are expected to be Tuesday – Saturday however flexibility across a 7-day roster is required based on Club Events and Major Fixtures. Key Responsibilities:

Lead, develop, inspire and manage the Golf Operations team. Manage day-to-day golf operations, including tee sheet scheduling, competition bookings, and event management, using MiClub software. Oversee Pro Shop retail operations, including stock control, merchandising, and financial management. Plan and execute club competitions, corporate days, and events to maximize engagement and revenue. Collaborate with the Course Superintendent to align golf operations with maintenance schedules. Drive member engagement and foster strong relationships with members, guests, and stakeholders. Develop and implement programs to engage juniors, female and beginner golfers, encouraging participation and skill development. Ensure compliance with club policies, workplace safety standards, and relevant regulations. Monitor and report on operational performance to the General Manager and Board. What We’re Looking For

What You Bring We are seeking a highly organized and results-driven professional with: Relevant qualifications and proven experience in a golf management or operations role. PGA Membership (preferred but not essential), with potential teaching opportunities available. Proficiency in MiClub booking/competition systems Demonstrated experience in customer service, retail operations, stock control, and budgeting. Sound knowledge of golf rules, competition management, and the Golf Australia handicapping system. Strong leadership skills with the ability to build and motivate a high-performing team. ·Experience designing and delivering coaching programs for individuals and groups, particularly juniors and women. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, maintaining a professional demeanour at all times. A “can-do” attitude, high-level business professionalism, and an aptitude for problem-solving. Other Requirements:

Current Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain. Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate or willingness to obtain. First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain. What We Offer
