An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join the SEN unit within a mainstream Secondary School located in Derby. This is a full-time position starting in January 2025.
The school is located in the Derby City area and offers great access due to local transport links. The school is rated "Good" by Ofsted and allows for a nurturing working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide dedicated support to pupils with SEN, both in individual and group settings, to facilitate their learning and development. Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering differentiated lessons that cater to the diverse needs of pupils within the SEN unit. Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where all pupils feel valued, supported, and encouraged to achieve their full potential. Collaborate with the SENCO, teachers, and other professionals to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and support strategies effectively. Requirements:
Previous experience working with children with SEN, preferably within a school setting. A compassionate and patient approach, with the ability to build rapport and establish positive relationships with pupils. Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. A proactive attitude and willingness to support pupils' holistic development, including their social, emotional, and academic progress. Pay Rates:
The daily rate of pay will vary depending on experience, ranging from £85.84 to £135.84. Additional Benefits:
