Mechanical Service Engineer, Birmingham, up to £18.14 per hour + Vehicle
Servicing, repairing, troubleshooting, stripping, and rebuilding mechanical power presses on site at customer works. Working on power presses from 1 ton to 1000 tons capacity. Experience with pneumatic, hydraulic, and lubrication systems is required. Must have knowledge of various types of mechanical and friction clutch and brake units. Good mechanical understanding of presses is essential, including clearances, setting slides, stripping, rebuilding & setting clutches/brakes. Training offered.
Details: Must have a full clean driving licence. Must have their own tools. A van is provided. Tool allowance. Mobile phone allowance. Required to travel and work nationwide, sometimes working away and staying overnight. Must fill in all their own paperwork, service sheets, and time sheets. Qualification PCN level 2 in NDT crack detection is advantageous.
Salary: £18.14 per hour (for fully qualified power press engineer).
Work Location: Based out of premises in Birmingham and traveling to customer premises.
Having a works van means no fuel costs to and from work and no wear and tear on your own vehicle.
