Our client is an established Housing Association currently undergoing expansion.

As a result, they are seeking an experienced Home Safety Specialist / Electrical Compliance Manager to join their successful business.

Responsibilities:

Together with the Home Safety Manager, you'll set key performance targets and milestones for projects and ensure we deliver on everything we promise. Lead on the main compliance-related area in relation to electrical safety including general periodic and contract administration. As required, contribute and support the Home Safety Specialist (Mechanical) in the management and delivery of compliance related programmes in relation to gas safety inspections and servicing, monitoring and contract administration of our heating replacement programmes. Support the wider Home Safety team in their delivery and management of fire safety, asbestos management, water hygiene, water treatment testing, and lift servicing. Provide subject matter expertise and technical support to the wider Property and Development functions. Take an overview of general health and safety related issues within the Asset Management team. Contribute to the ongoing development of our strategies, policies, and procedures regarding compliance. Ensure that we are fully compliant with relevant regulations for specific areas and take appropriate action where needed. Manage projects to minimise exposure to both financial and health and safety related risks. Forecast monthly project cash flow and expenditure to deliver against approved sums. Work closely with customers to plan and deliver projects, ensuring that our customers fully influence the outcomes. Deliver all work equitably and fairly, maximising or protecting the capital value of assets. Participate in a rota system (usually one week in every nine) to provide ad-hoc evening and weekend phone support for contractors and customers during emergency situations. You might need to attend emergency work (e.g., major fires, floods) acting as our representative onsite. Personally commit to our vision, mission, and values, ensuring that we are at the forefront of good practice in the sector by carrying out research and promoting it to colleagues, partners, and customers. Pursue excellence in all aspects of delivery within the Property Pod and wider organisation. Provide specific technical advice on best practice, industry guidance, and relevant legislation. Manage planned testing and electrical remedial work (including rewires) so that all statutory requirements are met and performance is robustly managed to maintain full compliance. Manage any non-compliance and ensure that risks are effectively recorded. Produce reports and information for managers, staff, and other stakeholders. Produce feasibility studies, option appraisals, and project briefs in the development and planning of projects. Design and prepare specifications for tenders, formulate budget estimates and scheme costs, seek approval where required, and raise orders for work. Prepare formal contract documentation, programmes, project plans, and other relevant materials in line with our formal procedures. Manage project progress ensuring compliance with all relevant documentation, standards, and good practice guidance associated with the works. Reconcile and settle final accounts and valuations, deal with contractual disputes, extensions of time and variations, issuing relevant certification as appropriate. Qualifications/Previous Experience:

Previous compliance related works with specific emphasis on electrical testing (and in particular domestic installations) and safety, working in a customer-focused organisation (Housing Association, Social Housing etc.). HNC Qualification. City & Guilds Electrical Testing & Inspecting. Have some specific compliance-related qualifications e.g. ACS, City & Guilds, P405 etc. NEBOSH or IOSH qualified and IT literate, proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
