have a new exciting opportunity for an
Air Freight Coordinator . You will be joining a Global Freight Forwarder with a presence in more than 25 countries worldwide. This is a brilliant role that will play a vital role in the development and functioning of the department. This forwarder is looking to open an Air Freight Department within their Essex Branch. Duties of an Air Freight Coordinator: Manage the day to day import and export air freight operation Negotiating rates with airlines and quoting customers Securing the airline bookings for export End to End Import & Export operations Booking new shipments into the company in house system Customs Clearance using CDS Ensure timely deliveries of shipments Build Client and Supplier partnerships by providing exceptional customer service Improving revenue GP Requirements of an Air Freight Coordinator: Minimum of 2 years' experience within Air Freight Operations CDS Customs clearance experience in both Imports and Exports Ability to work independently and within a team Ambition to eventually step into a Senior/Team Leadership position Experience working under pressure within a fast-paced environment IATA DG Training (Desirable but not essential - will be provided) Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks Experience cutting airway bills, booking transport and working directly with airlines and GSA's Additional Information: Salary: £34,000 - £38,000 Hours: Mon-Fri / 09:00-17:30 Location: Romford 25 Days Annual Leave + Bank Holidays Opportunities for career progression If you're ready to take a step up and believe you could drive the success of this new department, do not hesitate!
