To prepare the Trust for its next stage of development, we are seeking an exceptional individual who shares our passion for and commitment to education and the role that facilities management plays in improving children’s life chances. The Trust currently consists of six member schools, based across Surrey - in Shepperton, Ashford, Staines-upon-Thames, Addlestone, Walton-on-Thames and Epsom. The post will be based at one of the Trust schools, but will be expected to travel to other sites as required. The successful applicant will require a clean driving licence and their own vehicle. To succeed in this role, you’ll need to be organised, self-motivated and resilient. You’ll be the sort of person who embraces change, loves a challenge and enjoys working in a post where no two days are the same. You’ll be an excellent communicator who uses their experience and emotional intelligence to form positive relationships with colleagues and will inspire our site team across the Trust. As the Facilities Manager, you will collaborate with the Head of Operations and senior staff to develop, implement, and continuously improve the Trust’s strategic estates plan, focusing on creating and maintaining well-kept, safe, secure, compliant and efficient environments. You will be responsible for managing and monitoring delegated budgets, ensuring financial prudence and best value principles. You’ll be working alongside colleagues who share your passion, are keen to collaborate and will support you to succeed. Our ideal candidate will:

Have a background in estates management – ideally in schools, public sites or civic buildings – but we are keen to meet motivated individuals who can also bring additional experience to the team. Take responsibility for the delivery of the planned maintenance strategy across all sites – as well as managing the competing demands of compliance with all relevant Health and Safety assessments and monitoring. Have experience of working with contractors. Be able to confidently lead your team to maintain exceptional school support, ensuring that process and procedure is followed in order to ensure the best outcomes. Articulate and advocate the organisations vision and strategic plans to your team to help deliver at a school level. Understand and respect the diversity of others cultures, beliefs, and backgrounds.
