DevOps Engineer

or experienced

Platform Engineer

ready to step up into a leadership role, with mentorship from an experienced CTO. The Role: As Head of Platform, you will lead a team of 4-5 engineers, driving the platform’s evolution to cloud-native services. This role is initially

hands-on (80/20 split) , transitioning to a more managerial focus (20/80) as the platform matures. You’ll oversee: Rewriting legacy services into AWS-native solutions using

Lambda ,

S3 , and

event frameworks . Developing infrastructure as code (IaaS) using

Terraform

or similar tools. Building and optimizing an AWS-native data logging and platform development environment. Key Responsibilities: Technical Leadership : Own the implementation of cloud-native platform development. Team Leadership : Coach and mentor a growing team, fostering best practices in engineering and project delivery. Collaboration with CTO : Act as the CTO’s number two, contributing to strategy, OKR planning, and delivery. Hands-on Development : Get hands-on early in the project with an eye to scaling back as the team grows. What We’re Looking For: A hunger for growth: Ideal for someone looking to step up. Leadership potential: Willingness to learn how to manage OKRs and people. AWS Experience : Strong background in cloud platforms, particularly AWS. Experience migrating monolithic applications to microservices. Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaaS) such as

Terraform
