The role Working as our CAD and PDM Systems Support Engineer, you will be reporting directly to our Mechanical Engineering Manager here at Hemel Hempstead. Due to the sensitive nature of the projects you will be working on, we are unable to sponsor and will have to put you through UK SC level clearance. We are looking for a dedicated individual to help us shape the future of product development and innovation at Smiths Detection. In this role, you will be at the forefront of supporting and advancing our Configuration and Product Data Management Systems, working closely with cross-functional teams in Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and more. As a CAD Systems Administrator (PDM Support), you'll be supporting the development, deployment, and maintenance of systems crucial to managing product data and configurations. You'll assist in the maintenance of CAD and PDM systems, offer technical support, and collaborate with teams to ensure that products meet the highest standards throughout their lifecycle. What You'll Do: Provide hands-on admin support for CAD and PDM systems, including user creation and access management. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to CAD tools such as SolidWorks and PDM systems. Support system upgrades, downtime, and maintenance, ensuring continuous availability and optimal configuration. Create work instructions and training materials to empower users. Collaborate with teams across Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Service to streamline processes and workflows. Champion change initiatives that benefit the organization.
