Phase Two is seeking an Industrial Designer with the desire to deliver only the highest level of design with every project undertaken. Our clients challenge us to push forward the boundaries of what is possible and that has been achieved before. Our dream candidate should be willing to throw their abundant creative ability into design challenges, have a positive and collaborative attitude, and have an appreciation for good design. They should be able to demonstrate a talent for front-end concept generation through conceptual sketching, card/foam modelling and visualisation skills while contributing to creative sessions with fresh thinking and ideas. The creativity doesn’t end with the front-end of the design process; candidates should have a wide knowledge of existing materials and production processes and a fascination with discovering new materials and processes. Utilizing this knowledge and curiosity, you should be able to engineer design solutions suitable for iterative prototyping and production. Duties/Responsibilities:

Uncover user insights to identify new product opportunities. Rapidly produce new product design concepts. Front-end product development, exploring all aspects of the design such as design thinking, user research, card/foam modelling, digital sketching, and product visualisation. Engage in internal and external creative sessions to explore & generate new ideas. Produce design visuals & videos to create desire and communicate product functions. Work closely with the marketing team to generate visually engaging content. Research new technologies, processes and materials to stimulate innovation. Design engineering – developing concepts through to production including mechanism development, prototyping, user testing, electronic hardware integration, conforming to safety requirements, 3D CAD development and liaising with suppliers. Required Skills/Experience:

Open to candidates with 1-10+ years of industry experience. We don’t like to put you in a box; whether it’s junior, mid or senior, we value talent. Be self-motivated and a fast learner to quickly expand your core design skills. Degree in Industrial Design or similar. Have a clear passion for good design and sustainability. Core knowledge about materials, plastic and metal production processes. Ability to take creative direction and learn from others. Ability to work independently or in a team and across multiple projects, prioritizing tasks and strong organizational skills. Ability to use industry-standard 3D/2D software, such as Adobe CC, Solidworks/Fusion 360, Keyshot. Experience in creating motion graphics would be a bonus. Communicate effectively with clients and suppliers. Fluent in English. UK driving license. Competitive package of benefits. Remote working – Studio-based collaborative role but with flexibility for remote working on a project-by-project basis. Salary dependent on experience/ability.
