A well-established St Albans based Accountancy practice is currently seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join the business services team, working towards taking control of a portfolio of predominantly owner-managed businesses, carrying out year-end accounts, tax returns, and offering regular advice.
The Accountant will have experience using Xero while also having a good knowledge of producing in-depth management accounts and corporation tax return provisions. The position offers a salary of up to £47,000 per annum alongside hybrid working and study support.
Senior Accountant Position Overview
Assisting with a portfolio of clients in a very facing role. Preparing statutory accounts. Personal and business tax returns. Advising and dealing with a number of tax-related issues. Preparing and submitting VAT returns. Preparing monthly and quarterly management accounts.
Senior Accountant Position Requirements
Studying ACCA / ACA or ICAEW. Previous experience working in an accountancy practice is essential. Experience using Xero software is essential. Experience preparing management accounts for a range of differing clients. Live within a commutable distance to St Albans.
Senior Accountant Position Remuneration
£38,000 - £47,000 per annum. Mon - Fri 09:00am - 17:00pm. 20 days annual holiday, plus bank holidays, plus Christmas closure (min 3 days, not taken from entitlement). Option to WFH two days a week. Study support available. Free parking on site, with additional free street parking available.
