Automation Engineer
Location: Hinckley
Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 8am to 5pm
Salary: Up to £55,000 (Depending on Experience)

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and improvement of packaging machines. This role also includes opportunities to lead and support project-based work, making it ideal for someone with hands-on expertise and a background in project management within an automation environment.
Role Description:
Perform maintenance and improvement activities on automated packaging machines, ensuring optimal performance. Diagnose and resolve PLC faults, particularly with Siemens systems. Collaborate on and lead project-based tasks, including upgrades, new installations, and efficiency improvements. Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reliability. Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
Skills and Qualifications:
5+ years of time-served experience in a similar role. Strong electrical engineering background, with hands-on expertise in automation systems. Proven experience in PLC fault finding and troubleshooting, particularly with Siemens systems. Project management or project involvement experience is essential. Practical knowledge of packaging machinery or similar systems is highly desirable.
