This is an exciting opportunity to join Salford CAMHS, working with complex cases in Core CAMHS. If you are a Clinical Psychologist or experienced Mental Health Practitioner looking to share your knowledge and skills working with children and families, have excellent mental assessment and formulation skills, and can work therapeutically, we would love to hear from you. A skilled practitioner with mental health knowledge who can work in a busy team, manage risk, and is passionate about offering intervention for children and families will thrive in this role. You will have the opportunity to develop core clinical skills in assessment, formulation, therapy, consultation, and supervision of others. To ensure the development, systematic provision, coordination, and evaluation of a high-quality specialist evidence-based assessment and intervention to young people referred to the team. Responsibilities may include: Assessment and intervention with children, teenagers, young adults, and families Work with schools, colleges, and other community-based professionals Consultation, support, and provision of advice Utilising research skills for audit, policy, and service development Staff training Liaison and effective teamwork with staff from wider health, community, and education Support the development of an evidence base for relevant conditions and outcomes We are keen to promote innovative practice, as well as traditional individual psychological assessment and intervention. Registration

You must be registered/accredited with a professional body (e.g., NMC, SW England, UKCP, HCPC, BACP). Qualifications

You must have a recognised qualification. Additional qualifications relating to the assessment of autism (e.g., ADI, ADOS training). Additional qualifications relating to LD or autism. Additional postgraduate training in psychological therapies and interventions. Experience

Significant experience of working with children and young people with autism and social communication difficulties. Relevant experience and training in multi-disciplinary assessments of autism in children and adolescents. Proven experience of working effectively with people with mental health difficulties. Experience of working with hard-to-reach diverse community groups. Experience of assessing and managing risk, including safeguarding. Experience of developing and providing evidence-based assessments and care plans. Experience of liaison and working with a range of other relevant agencies. Experience of mentoring and supervision of others. Experience of providing a variety of interventions for children and young people with mental health problems. Community mental health experience across a variety of settings. Knowledge

Up-to-date knowledge of child mental health and relevant legislation. Advanced knowledge and skills in delivering evidence-based practice. The ability to assess, formulate, and manage care appropriately. Ability to select, use, and interpret assessment tools and outcome measures effectively. Ability to integrate psychological theories with clinical practice. Ability to plan, implement, and evaluate appropriate therapeutic interventions. Highly developed communication skills. Ability to function as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Ability to provide feedback and constructive guidance to junior members of the team. Ability to reflect on and critically appraise own performance. Ability to manage own caseload and act as lead practitioner. Ability to manage and organise own time and diary. Understanding of the principles of Clinical Governance. Personal Attributes
