Expert Witness - Civil/Structural Engineering
London (Hybrid working supported)
Our client, a well-respected and ever-growing global advisory business, is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineering Professional to join their growing Technical Expert Witness team in London.
In your role, you will work on some of the largest and most interesting disputes on major engineering and construction projects worldwide.
The successful candidate will provide expert technical advice and dispute resolution services related to civil and/or structural engineering and construction projects.
A key element of the role, alongside working on complex cases for clients, will be the exciting task of building and managing a team.
Experience
A qualified Structural Engineer, with MICE, MIStructE, and SCL membership preferred. Minimum of 20 years of experience in civil and/or structural engineering and/or construction projects, or technical advisory services. Broad experience across a range of construction/engineering projects and forms of contract. Experienced as an expert witness, writing independent reports, and preferably, recent testifying experience on construction/engineering disputes. Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines, and a flexible attitude to working, including the preparedness to travel overseas and regionally for site visits. Very strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust with clients. Ability to work entrepreneurially and innovatively to identify areas for business growth. Innovative and forward-thinking approach.
