Location: High Wycombe, GB JOB SUMMARY Under general supervision of the Service Manager, this individual works closely with Customer Service to ensure instruments returning from customers are inspected and booked in, and also returned to dispatch after service work is completed. The Administrator handles all instruments returned for inspection, calibration, and repair, and will work with internal service technicians and other departments. The role is approximately 60% desk-based and 40% other locations around the facility. This position is responsible for the physical relocating, unpacking, and booking in of returned goods, as well as service administration within SAP and the physical return of customer goods to the shipping department. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Interface with other members of the service department. Relocate, unpack, and inspect incoming returned goods. Enter all service equipment into SAP. Dispatch goods to other service centers if required. Prepare service items for dispatch prior to shipment to customers. Determine the accuracy of service orders and provide order clean-up prior to data entry. Interface with customers to ensure that all information is available and accurate prior to entry. Provide customers with service status and interface with the service team to expedite items. JOB REQUIREMENTS Education: Basic education in Mathematics, English, and Science. Dealing with customers. Technical interest. Mechanical or electrical college course, or similar. Knowledge of SAP would be an advantage. Good organizational and communication skills. Ability to proficiently use Microsoft Office tools. Above-average analytical, problem-solving, and research skills. Experience: Preferably 1 – 2 years’ experience in the service sector, but not essential. Core Competencies: Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. A good aptitude for simple mechanical processes and problem-solving.
