ABOUT THE ROLE An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Development Chef to join this rapidly growing UK start up. The role requires a creative and experienced Development Chef to join this Chester based team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing new recipes, improving existing products, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and innovation in culinary offerings. This role requires a deep understanding of food science, culinary trends, manufacturing and the ability to translate ideas into commercially viable products. They have European factories, so travel is essential to learn our capabilities and to work with the factories to develop products suitable for the UK market. Key responsibilities: Recipe Development Product Improvement Market Research and Trends Analysis Collaboration and Communication ABOUT THE CANDIDATE This Development Chef role provides significant opportunities for professional growth and development and would be best suited to someone who relishes working for a UK start up as it requires an entrepreneurial mindset. Key requirements: Proven experience as a Development Chef or similar role in a culinary or food manufacturing environment. Strong culinary skills and a passion for food innovation. Knowledge of food science, ingredient functionality, and product development processes. Excellent organisational and time-management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Relevant culinary qualifications and certifications are preferred. ABOUT THE COMPANY Our client is an emerging enterprise, supported by a renowned manufacturer of poultry, pork, and beef products. As a leading exporter, they are authorised to ship to over 100 countries worldwide. This role will be based in Chester, with the option of flexible/hybrid working, but you must live within a commutable distance to be considered. SALARY Up to £40,000 - flexible, depending on experience
