Our client is a well-established and successful manufacturer, looking for an experienced Product Manager to join their Marketing team. This role will be predominantly site-based; however, travel to customer and stakeholder sites across the UK will be required. As the Product Manager, you will be responsible for the definition of all new products and continuous product improvements into the business, and for the management of the product range. Activities are against the requirements of the Product Strategy (PS), New Product Introduction (NPI), and the Continuous Improvement (CIP) processes, the company operating procedures, and European and UK regulatory standards. The job holder is required to support and develop the product portfolio to meet the requirements of the market, customers, and business, and drive the product strategy and roadmap within an assigned area of responsibility. Key Objectives:

Management of the whole life cycle of the product within assigned area of responsibility. Implement product strategy and product roadmap definition with sales and marketing. Build understanding of customers and markets through close liaison with commercial sales, marketing, training, and customer service. Hold timely voice of customer reviews to develop and test product requirements. Maintain a sound knowledge of technology and identification of potential products and opportunities. Promote innovation and advancement in technology / product solutions. Maintain knowledge and understanding of regulations and standards and pending changes to legislation / regulatory frameworks to assess and communicate their impact on product strategy. Management of activities in New Product Introduction (NPI) process related to market and customer requirements, market launch, and agreement of technical requirement specification of all products within area of responsibility. Work closely with commercial sales, marketing, and customer service to coordinate product launch plans within NPI. Actively promote the products in the marketplace, working with the sales team to provide technical support during the sales process by communicating with and presenting to potential customers as required. In conjunction with commercial sales, marketing, and finance provide competitor analysis, price positioning, and commercial forecasts to drive NPI capital investment submissions and support business development activity. Develop and maintain constructive relationships with business management and colleagues. To behave in accordance with the Company values and support corporate and site policies and objectives. To comply with the Company Health & Safety rules and requirements at all times and take reasonable care for the Health & Safety of themselves and others. Adherence to International standard requirements in relation to Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental (including energy). Applicant Requirements:

ESSENTIAL:

Specific detailed experience in several of the following areas is required: radiators, central heating systems, intelligent or smart controls, and hot water hydraulics circuit design and control. ESSENTIAL:

Degree and/or professional qualification in a relevant Technical / Engineering / Marketing discipline. Alternatively, substantial hands-on operations experience in a Technical / Engineering / Marketing environment. ESSENTIAL:

Significant relevant post-qualification / after-degree experience in a wide range of product management, new product development roles (minimum 5 years). Knowledge and understanding of products and technology in the area of responsibility to fulfil the requirement of the role. Strong background in product management and new product introduction in a technical/engineering discipline. Experience of proactive interfacing and communication with marketing, training, commercial sales, and customer service. Strong analytical and critical reasoning skills, with effective decision-making skills and implementation of solutions. Team player with excellent communication and networking skills and the ability to influence and motivate. Awareness of business environment; markets, customers, and financial. Desirable completed training (advantageous):

Product Management training Project Management training NPI and CIP process training Product training Health and Safety training Regulation and standards training Market and customer awareness training Salary up to £60,000 depending on experience + Company Car. Benefits include 25 days holiday + stats, pension, health plan. Working hours: 8.30am to 4.30pm, 4.00pm finish Friday. Previous job titles could include Technical Product Manager / Product Management Specialist / NPD Manager / New Product Development / similar roles.
