Tasks

The CNC Turner's main tasks are:

Working on two and three axis CNC lathes with Fanuc controls Experience of CNC programming preferable on Fanuc controls To be able to read and understand technical drawings To be able to work with imperial measuring equipment Manufacturing bushes, sleeves and nuts for Aircraft components e.g.:- Landing gears, flap and track systems Also reworking and overhauling components for the airline industry An awareness and understanding of responsibilities outlined in the Company’s environmental procedures You will be required to maintain Practical Experience Record (PER) book You may be required to train personnel with a specified area subject to your qualifications and experience All duties shall be undertaken in compliance with Safety and Environmental Regulations and Company Procedures

CNC Turner

should meet the following requirements: Educated to at least GCSE level or equivalent Ability to communicate fluently in written and spoken English Aerospace background not essential but would be preferred Experience in two and three axis CNC lathes with Fanuc controls Experience of CNC programming Team player with proven ability to manage, lead and guide Excellent communication skills and able to work within a matrix environment Good organisational skills with strong planning Able to turn vision into strategy and execute Engage others and develop their potential with confident decision-making skills Flexible working hours including shifts (06:30 – 14:30 and 14:25 – 22:25) The job requires the applicant to understand manual handling The ability to keep your working area clean and tidy to a 5s standard Candidate must have the right to live and work in the UK unrestricted
