Senior EC&I Engineer Location: Warrington, Middlesbrough, Aberdeen, Grangemouth Job type: Permanent An excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior EC&I Engineer (Electrical Controls and Instrumentation Lead) has arisen with one of our clients, a world leader within many industries. This role is placed within Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Energy, Utilities, Chemicals, and Petrochemicals industries. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: Report to the Lead EC&I Engineer and be responsible for the production of the EC&I design within single or multi-discipline engineering, EPCM or EPC projects. Projects predominantly reside in the UK, but you will be expected to carry out projects for Europe and potentially wider areas of the business. Manage projects across the full lifecycle from concept to commissioning, in both green and brownfield applications. Deliver projects of varying complexity and size for major sectors (Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Energy, Utilities, Chemicals, Petrochemicals, and Food). Complete the EC&I Engineering and Design, ensuring quality and adherence to budget and planning, including change control and consistency of the Process design. Participate in internal and external design reviews and present designs to the Lead Engineer. Act as EC&I Engineer for one project or a portfolio of projects, depending on size and complexity. Coordinate all EC&I engineering with other disciplines: Mechanical, Civil and Structural, Process, and Automation. Support construction, testing, and commissioning activities required by Engineering to aid post-design activities (preferred). Experience If you have the following profile, then we are looking forward to meeting you: More than 3 years of experience as an EC&I engineer in single/multi-discipline projects within an Engineering/EPCM/EPC company in one of the mentioned sectors. Good knowledge of EC&I engineering and design, with sound knowledge of other disciplines (Automation, Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Piping, and Process). Strong understanding of both Electrical and Instrumentation disciplines, capable of leading designs for both. Experience with the latest tools for EC&I design such as AMTECH, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Packages. MEng/MSc/BSc/BEng in EC&I Engineering. Open to both experienced and less experienced candidates. Sound understanding of current British and International Standards. Result-oriented with a focus on delivering top quality engineering and design that satisfies the Lead Engineer and the client. Ability to plan and organize activities with the Lead Engineer, understanding dependencies between engineering activities across disciplines, with a ‘one time right’ mentality.
