Credit Controller - Temp to Perm
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Credit Controller to join our growing team on a temp to perm basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in credit control or financial services who is eager to take ownership of key responsibilities in managing accounts receivable and ensuring smooth financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and manage the accounts receivable ledger to ensure timely payments. Conduct credit analysis to assess customer creditworthiness and mitigate financial risks. Follow up regularly with clients via phone and email to secure payments. Maintain accurate records of client communications and financial transactions. Collaborate with the accounts payable team to resolve discrepancies. Utilise accounting software for data entry and reporting purposes. Ensure professional and courteous client interactions over the phone. Prepare and present reports on outstanding debts to management. Assist the Finance Manager with additional tasks as required.
Requirements:
Proven experience in credit control or a similar financial role (preferred). Experience using Sage (essential); familiarity with Uptick is a plus. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent communication skills and phone etiquette. Experience in customer service is advantageous. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of financial services and accounts payable processes is desirable.
