Electrical Engineer - Senior Authorised Person
Locations: Central Scotland & Inverness Area
Salary: £42,000 - £50,000 (DOE) + Benefits & Overtime
Toro Recruitment is seeking two experienced Electrical Engineers with Senior Authorised Person (SAP) status for a leading client in the renewable energy sector. These positions are located in Central Scotland and the Inverness area, primarily focusing on wind farm operations. Key Responsibilities:
Perform inspection and maintenance of LV/HV substation equipment. Conduct protection testing and troubleshooting for fault resolution. Plan and execute HV switching, isolation, and earthing up to 33kV. Oversee installation of switchgear, transformers, and cable terminations. Prepare and issue safety permits and documentation in line with company procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Current 11kV and 33kV SAP authorisation. Proven experience with HV/LV switching, preferably on wind farms. HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification. Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations. Full clean UK driving license.
