To support our growth and transformation, we are recruiting for an Engineering Manager who will look after our sites in the UK. What will you be doing? As Engineering Manager for UK, you will oversee the Facility Engineering and Maintenance function. You will be responsible for providing direction and operational support of all maintenance activities for refrigeration, facilities, and material handling equipment. You will initially have four main areas of focus: Advise and initiate action in the region on the Lineage Europe Maintenance and Engineering strategy, in consultation with the Director of Engineering Europe. Assess the in- and outsourced technical activities of Lineage in the region. Share and implement the best practices. Develop existing and new talents. Please note: this role will require a minimum of 50% travel to facilities under your scope. Who are we looking for? To be successful in this position, we need you to have a strong tactical/strategic approach with an operational background. You will have the ability to identify successes on one site and apply them to others as well as keep track of capex and opex across sites and make suggestions to optimise cost. We need you to demonstrate experience in the following: Value added services (i.e. mechanized sortation, packing, picking). Ability to manage remotely and build a team spirit where all engineers can support and benefit from each other's experience. Development and execution of strategy / annual plans (budget, operational performance, SOPs, etc.). Knowledge of contract management and SLA’s. Metrics measurements (i.e. energy efficiency, quality, employee productivity, and safety). Employee training and development (technical/functional input). Continuous Improvement Quality process (i.e. Six Sigma, ISO, Lean). We specialise in Cold Storage so it would help if you come from Cold Storage and have had experience in activities such as: Refrigeration, facility maintenance, warehouse automation systems. Safety and efficiency program compliance. Project management. Why Lineage?
