Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor

to join our clients growing team and play a key role in delivering our civil engineering projects. You'll work closely with the construction team, managing costs, contracts, and supplier relationships to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the following commercial activities: Collaborate with the construction team on allocated contracts to ensure smooth project delivery. Assist in the financial and contractual control of projects. Undertake the re-measurement of all trades specific to each contract. Prepare and submit interim applications for payment. Value and include all valid contract variations in payment applications. Manage supplier and subcontractor payments. Support the Site Manager in placing material orders. Produce correspondence of a contractual nature in consultation with the Commercial Manager. Attend progress and team meetings as required. Additional Responsibilities

Build and maintain strong professional relationships with colleagues, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors. Regularly update the Director/Commercial Manager on any commercial risks or opportunities. Support the team with any additional duties as required by the Director/Commercial Manager. Performance Measures

Your success will be measured by: Achieving commercial and operational targets. Providing accurate financial reporting. Minimizing contractual disputes. Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Key Competencies

We're looking for someone with: Strong negotiation skills to manage terms, conditions, and final accounts with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients. The ability to financially and contractually control civil engineering projects. Detailed knowledge of construction techniques, principles, and commonly used contract conditions. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with clients, suppliers, and internal teams. What We’re Looking For

Experience:

Proven track record in Quantity Surveying within the civil engineering sector. Knowledge:

In-depth understanding of contracts (NEC, JCT, etc.) and construction methodologies. Skills:

Strong financial acumen, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities. Communication:
