As an Information Officer, you will provide high-quality information services according to the needs of the firm and its clients. Your responsibilities will include: Undertaking research, utilising a wide range of online and hard copy resources Staffing the library enquiry desk, participating in the library's shift system to ensure cover between 8.30am - 6.00pm Assisting with trainee and other new staff induction programmes Providing training on research skills and online resources Raising awareness of the service and collecting feedback, including attending practice area meetings Liaising with Professional Support Lawyers on legal team knowledge requirements Occasional visits to UK branch offices, with monthly visits to the London office for anchor days Working on projects to further develop the service, as required To succeed in this role, you'll need to have: At least one year's experience in legal information, ideally in a law firm environment Practical experience of undertaking research and familiarity with SharePoint Ideally, someone who has achieved or is working towards an information qualification or similar However, it is not all about experience and qualifications.
