Power BI Developer Preston, Lancashire 3 Days a week in office Salary: £35,000 per annum About the Role: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Power BI Developer with strong stakeholder management experience to join our growing division within the housing association sector. This role will provide you with the exciting opportunity to work on the development and implementation of data solutions, primarily using Power BI, to drive strategic insights and support key business decisions. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in Power BI development, coupled with experience in engaging with various stakeholders to gather requirements, manage expectations, and deliver impactful data-driven solutions. Key Responsibilities: Power BI Development: Design, develop, and deploy interactive Power BI dashboards and reports for key stakeholders. Build and optimise data models to ensure the efficient extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data. Implement Power Query and DAX functions to build accurate, insightful reports and visualisations. Stakeholder Management: Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into technical requirements. Manage expectations, providing regular updates on progress and ensuring timely delivery of data solutions. Act as a liaison between the technical team and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals and deliverables. Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyse complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform strategic decision-making. Create ad-hoc reports and regular performance metrics for leadership and operational teams. Continuous Improvement: Support the division's growth by identifying opportunities for process improvements, automation, and better data management practices. Provide training and support to end-users, empowering them to effectively utilise Power BI dashboards and reports. Essential Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience in Power BI development, and data visualisation best practices. Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to understand and translate business needs into technical solutions. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving challenges. A good understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and data modelling principles. Experience working in a growing or scaling organisation, ideally within the housing association or social housing sector (preferred but not essential). Why Join Us?
