Your new role As a Quality Engineering Manager, you will manage a small engineering team and provide engineering support to the sales team and manufacturing manager. You will manage and deliver on various engineering projects relating to conveyors and metal separation equipment and work closely with stakeholders, keeping them updated on project progress and any arising issues. You will resolve engineering problems by collecting information, researching and analyzing, recommending solutions, preparing drawings, schematics, and diagrams, evaluating components, materials, and suppliers, and developing specifications and safety standards. You will coordinate and organize internal teams and third-party labor for the execution of projects to a high standard and ensure all parties adhere to the overall project plan throughout the project life cycle. Maintain project team accomplishments by communicating essential information, coordinating actions, obtaining expert input, reviewing open issues and action items, and contributing information to team meetings and reports. Work closely with various departments in the company to ensure projects are implemented in a timely and efficient manner and assist the manufacturing team in maintaining ISO Quality manufacturing procedures and standards, as well as assist with engineering budgeting and cost analysis.

Option of a 4-day week - Mon - Thurs 7.15am - 5.15pm OR if you prefer, you can do a 4.5-day week.

What you'll need to succeed Ideally, we would like to see candidates with a Degree in Engineering OR 4 years of Quality Management experience. You will have manufacturing industry experience, preferably from heavy engineering. You will have the ability to analyze and troubleshoot and possess effective communication skills. There will be a small element of travel.
