We are seeking a full-time Ward Manager for maternity cover commencing in May. You will work on our 9-bedded female acute ward. The successful candidate will manage the ward and its resources, taking appropriate action to ensure that standards of care are exceptional. You will be responsible for ensuring care plans reflect the needs of patients and that your team receives timely clinical supervision, appraisal, and completes mandatory training. Additional duties include roster management, on-call duties, daily and monthly auditing, report writing, and attendance and contribution at all clinical meetings.
The nursing team works closely with our established mental health professionals, including consultant psychiatrists, doctors, and the committed therapy team. You will have the support of our excellent health care assistants. SMT will listen to your thoughts and ideas, and you will have the opportunity to influence the future direction of our private acute services. You will provide senior nursing leadership to the ward nursing team, acting as a visible role model to promote a culture of learning development, inquiry, and team vision.

We are seeking applicants with:
RMN Qualification
Current NMC registration
2 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity
Willingness to complete further clinical, managerial, and leadership training
Ticehurst is set in a stunning, rural location in East Sussex, with The Pantiles, Boutique Hotels, Restaurants, and Shopping Mall of Historic Royal Tunbridge Wells only 20 minutes away. Ticehurst offers male/female acute and private facilities on well-maintained wards.
As well as a beautiful and exceptionally friendly working environment with access to 50 acres of grounds, employees who need it can be accommodated on-site. The grounds are also used to host summer events such as cream teas and barbeques.
Ticehurst’s location means you can have the best of both worlds, with the coast only 20 minutes to the south and Central London around an hour away by direct train.
