ABOUT THE ROLE The Operations Director role offers an exciting and rewarding opportunity within Avery Healthcare to deliver operational excellence from quality and commercial perspectives. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will manage a dedicated team of Regional Directors, Support Managers and Home Managers. Leading by example, you will support Avery’s outcomes of delivering exceptional care and a life-enriching experience whilst exceeding commercial targets. As a regulatory sector leader, you will identify areas of performance and quality for improvement and work with the wider leadership and support team to mitigate risks and deliver against agreed targets and KPIs. To maximise business growth and increase profitability through a primarily self-funded market, you will support homes with effective enquiry management, understanding their local markets, implementing marketing plans, and identifying opportunities whilst effectively using staffing, expenditure control, and aged debt to optimise operational efficiency and provide regular performance reports. Building constructive relationships is a must at Avery, gaining feedback from residents, relatives, and staff. Regulator and local authority connections, along with care home and central support function rapport will aid the delivery of our strategy of becoming the leading provider of luxury elderly care homes in the UK. You will lead by example and promote our vision to offer exceptional care and experience whilst establishing ourselves as the preferred choice for residents and employees, creating meaningful lives together. Our ideal candidate must: Demonstrate experience from within the Health and Social Care sector. Be a registered nurse or have at a minimum, a level 5 Care and Management Qualification. Have proven, track record that can be evidenced of improving commercial and regulatory performance, leading teams across a minimum of 20 sites. Have experience at either an Operations Director / MD level, or as a minimum, Regional Director level, with at least 5 years’ experience. Be experienced in managing budgets and KPI’s. Know the Health and Social Care Act and regulatory processes. Have experience in working within a multi-site environment. Demonstrate skill in negotiation. Demonstrate excellent leadership, time management and organisational skills.
