Our Local Authority Client is recruiting an Occupational Therapist to support their Major Adaptations Unit in Croydon for a 6 month contract initially.
Key Responsibilities:
Undertaking home visits to complete assessments/follow up on recommendations made by Occupational Therapy staff in the locality teams. Make recommendations/arrange provision for major adaptations and complex equipment, including preparing sketches, reading plans, and providing detailed specifications for major works. Liaison with partner agencies and contractors such as housing, surveyors, and suppliers.
Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy. Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Knowledge and experience of specialist equipment provision, major adaptations, manual handling of people, and relevant equipment. Up to date moving and handling skills and knowledge of relevant legislation in Social Care and Health.
