The role: As the Commercial and Sales Manager responsible for the Commercial & Sales Team, ensuring the team provide exceptional customer support experience, developing an inspired and future thinking team to support the growth of the group.

Key Responsibilities

Managing customer relations and existing business Nurturing existing customer accounts to uncover incremental volume Reviewing and developing current and new customers and revenue opportunities including contract reviews. Enabling best practices, trends and sustainable objectives that will help shape future strategies Working closely with the departments and team to develop new launches to a customer brief or specification Forecasting sales volumes Establishing sales targets and ensuring that a company meets these Providing Performance Reports against agreed targets to the Director and attend regular review meetings Requirements

Professional and relevant qualification, i.e. NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent Previous experience within a sales/business development environment essential Knowledge and understanding of contractual requirements essential Excellent working knowledge of the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector preferred Previous experience in an operational context advantageous Previous experience within a warehousing context advantageous Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Self-motivated and able to work without close supervision Ability to ensure that targets are met both individually and as part of a team. Ability to negotiate effectively and to secure co-operation from external and internal partners. Good numerical and analytical skills, including experience of spreadsheets and computer-based systems, including Microsoft products. You must have a flexible approach to work demands, including some evening and weekend work. NB: Your duties may vary from time to time within the broad remit of your role and grade. You are required to undertake any such reasonable and appropriate duties. Work location is subject to discussion with immediate line manager and the requirements of the business.
