Technical Resolution Engineer

Location:

Somerset

Employment Type:

Full Time

Do you enjoy solving technical issues and making a difference? Your expertise and leadership will be instrumental in our clients' continued success.

Certain Advantage are recruiting for a Technical Resolution Engineer to join our client, a leading delivery partner for programme, project, and construction management services on major infrastructure projects in the UK and abroad.

Our client is on a mission to maintain excellence, and they need a Technical Resolution Lead to help them achieve this goal. Imagine being at the heart of a dynamic project, where every day brings new challenges and opportunities to innovate. As a key member of the Technical Engineering Group within the Joint Design Office (JDO), you will be the go-to person for resolving emergent design issues that span multiple work areas.

The Role:

You will have the unique opportunity to gain visibility across a wide variety of topics within the project. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include managing and delivering technical solutions to emergent transverse works issues. As the project progresses, these issues will evolve into more complex MEH issues with significant safety case implications.

Building strong relationships will be crucial to your success. You will collaborate with teams across Responsible Designer, Project Managers, Contract Managers, and construction contractors. Your ability to interface with the TCO PWRT or TCO Safety Case team when necessary will ensure seamless project delivery.

You will also play a pivotal role in identifying and implementing initiatives to improve project delivery. Your participation in Configuration Management Board meetings and contribution to the reporting of JDO KPIs will be essential in driving the project forward.

Qualifications:

Be able to demonstrate an ability to resolve straightforward issues of low complexity/risk in own technical discipline/area autonomously. A degree in engineering working towards chartership is desirable. No specific engineering discipline is necessary, although Civil engineering is desirable at this stage of the project. Some design experience or other project experience is desirable but not essential. EPR building, plant and system knowledge is desirable.
