Overview Better Start Tuition provides life-changing educational opportunities for young people. In 2025, we will launch our new Pre-School. This exciting new environment will offer 2-hour daily sessions for children aged 3-4, preparing them for reception year in school. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a commitment to fostering their development in a nurturing environment. As a Nursery Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily activities of the nursery, ensuring that children receive high-quality care and education. Responsibilities Assist in the planning and implementation of engaging activities that promote early childhood development. Supervise and interact with children during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being. Support the lead nursery staff in managing daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and educational sessions. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a positive nursery environment. Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the nursery setting, ensuring all areas are safe for children. Document children's progress and participate in regular assessments to support their learning journey. Help manage behaviour by implementing positive reinforcement strategies. Requirements Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable. A Level-2 childcare qualification. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to drive initiatives that promote children's learning and development. A genuine passion for childcare and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. A commitment to creating an inclusive environment for all children.
