Be the lead officer for the preparation, maintenance, and delivery of the organisation’s Treasury strategy and policy. Continually reassess the organisation’s treasury position in light of current developments both within the organisation’s capital programme and within financial markets to optimise its position in relation to long-term financing options. Manage the organisation’s cash flows, short-term investments, short-term borrowing, and long-term borrowing, ensuring compliance with the organisation’s approved Treasury Management Strategy Statement. Assess financing opportunities for the organisation and advise the Director of Finance around the most opportune duration and timing of long-term borrowing, e.g., from PWLB sources. Publish various treasury reports to inform members of treasury activity and lead on the creation of the annual Treasury Management Strategy Statement. Oversee and provide leadership to the organisation’s banking team and functions. Actively support the S151 Officer with their constitutional responsibilities in relation to treasury management and statutory financial reporting. Monitor, liaise, and review performance of service suppliers, e.g., the organisation’s banker, treasury management advisor, and independent advisor, and re-let in a timely manner. Personal Requirements:
Degree level or equivalent qualification plus relevant experience. Membership of an appropriate professional body by examination, e.g., CCAB or treasury qualifications, or substantial relevant experience. Substantial experience of working at a senior management position in treasury or finance with evidence of having advised trustees or directors on treasury. Working Hours:
36hrs / 9:00am - 5:30pm / Monday to Friday Pay:
£675.00 per day Please note this role is within the scope of IR35.
