Senior Site Manager - High-Profile £77m Student Accommodation Scheme

One of the UK's leading main contractors, renowned for delivering prestigious high-rise residential, commercial, and student accommodation projects, is seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to play a pivotal role in delivering a landmark £77m student accommodation scheme. With an impressive £660m annual turnover, this contractor offers a steady project pipeline and exciting growth opportunities.

The Project:

Value: £77m Type: Design & Build, RC Frame Construction Scope: Several blocks, 5 storeys high, over 700 student units

This high-profile project will be delivered under the guidance of a seasoned Construction Director. As a flagship development, the role demands a proactive and client-facing Senior Site Manager capable of successfully completing large-scale RC frame schemes.

Senior Site Manager Key Responsibilities:

Manage daily site activities to meet program schedules. Work closely with the visiting Project Director to maintain project progress. Oversee subcontractor coordination and ensure quality control on-site. Maintain clear communication with the commercial and design teams. Lead and mentor a team of Site and Assistant Site Managers. Chair site meetings and coordinate stakeholder progress updates. Ensure the highest health and safety standards across the site. Plan and allocate resources effectively to meet milestones. Build strong client relationships and manage expectations professionally.

What We're Looking For:

A qualification in construction, site management, or a relevant trade. Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Senior Site Manager with a main contractor. All-rounder experience with External focus. SMSTS, First Aid, and a valid CSCS Card (mandatory). Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage site teams and subcontractors. Solid understanding of construction planning and commercial awareness. Comprehensive knowledge of health & safety regulations. Proficiency in MS Office and construction planning tools (MS Project/Powerproject).
