POSITION OVERVIEW

The Financial Reporting Accountant will be responsible for preparing and analysing financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing accurate financial reporting to internal stakeholders. This role will require a strong understanding of accounting principles, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Reporting Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards. Maintain and update financial records, ensuring the integrity of financial data. Support the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments. Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations. Provide financial data to senior management for decision-making and strategic planning. Collaborate with other departments to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data.

Compliance and Regulation Ensure compliance with tax regulations, financial reporting requirements, and company policies. Assist in the preparation of VAT returns and other statutory filings. Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and standards.

Continuous Improvement Proactively identify areas for process improvement and implement changes. Enhance internal controls over financial reporting.

QUALIFICATIONS

ACCA or equivalent professional qualification. Minimum of 3 years experience in financial reporting or related field. Strong technical accounting knowledge. Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.
