An opportunity for a Depot Services Manager to join a UK leading food wholesaler. Reporting to the Head of Operations, you'll play an essential role in administering Health and Safety, Food Safety, and Environmental processes required for the depot to operate in accordance with legal and company standards.

Responsibilities of the Depot Services Manager

Facilitate the completion of all facilities and building-related jobs on site. Complete all daily, weekly & monthly checks including fire, emergency lighting, legionella, asbestos, ammonia, PPE, pest, cleaning schedules, security, Sematics, food standards checks & COSHH assessments. Support depot reporting & investigation of incidents and coordinate appropriate documentation. Support the warehouse team with their management of MHE, the recording & collation of documentation & check the completion of actions from statutory inspection & administer Crimson communities. Complete monthly Food Standards & Environment internal audits. Provide guidance to the management team to comply with internal and external audits and close out requirements after audit with the support of the appropriate support departments. Coordinate depot management of 3rd party audits, e.g. BRCGS, Customer, Liability Surveys. Deliver and co-ordinate Health, Safety & Environment and Food Standards and compliance related events/induction to update management team and new employees. Monitor and manage depot storage temperatures with the warehouse management team. Administer the compliance training requirements for the site, ensuring all roles are set up in Resource Link & support the booking of external compliance training courses. Provide regular reports to the management team of overdue and due soon compliance training and ensure the timely completion of training. Liaise & monitor facilities contractors while they are on site, e.g. pest control, waste contractor, environmental contractors and ensure any actions resulting are completed. Provide quarterly depot waste data via the SharePoint portal. Administer the depot's Business Continuity Plan.

Depot Services Manager Skills and Experiences:

A sound working knowledge of company processes and standards within the business and demonstration of practical application. Knowledge of Health & Safety, Environmental management & Food Standards. Effective communicator with the ability to persuade and influence senior management. Flexible, enthusiastic and positive approach. Able to cope under pressure and prioritise demands. Ability to deliver effective presentations and training courses. Customer driven, collaborative and hands-on approach able to identify pragmatic, business-focused solutions to areas of non-compliance. Ability to work independently on own initiative. Ability to interpret and apply company standards. Experience of a fast-moving distribution environment. IT literate - Microsoft Office applications.

On offer is a £34,000 basic salary, company pension scheme, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, excellent company benefits scheme.
