You’ll use your proven previous experience as an

IT Engineer

to be responsible for new IT installations, decommissions and office clearances and collections of redundant IT equipment.

The successful candidate will need to be responsive to customers’ needs, a good communicator, totally reliable, flexible and a team player.

This role will require a lot of travelling to complete work at customers’ sites around the UK, sometimes requiring overnight stays up to a week at a time.

The candidate will also need to be aged 21 or over (for insurance purposes) and a competent driver with a full UK driver’s licence, as you will at times need to drive a 3.5-tonne van to customer sites.

Key Responsibilities: Responsible for installation to desk. Ability to communicate with customers regarding newly installed items (hardware). Responsible for the decommissioning of redundant equipment and furniture. Responsible for the disposal of customers’ items and adhering to safety procedures with regards to packing the items and transporting back to base. Cable management. Fault finding and simple fixes (resolving network issues and any hardware or possible software issues). PC/Laptop builds (hardware and possible software). Ensuring that agreed Company sales targets are met monthly. Ability to travel to customer sites throughout the UK and Internationally, with overnight stays.

You will need: Strong IT knowledge, intermediate level MS Excel is desirable. A good knowledge of computers and their components is a bonus. Experience of working independently and as part of a team to achieve results. Flexible approach and hold a full UK Driving Licence. Polite and courteous manner representing the company. Great communication skills. Able to manage own time effectively.

£25,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
