The ideal candidate will have extensive experience developing and maintaining database applications and a solid drive to create efficient and reliable solutions. The database tech stack here is predominantly Oracle PL/SQL but some SQL Server T-SQL.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain database applications using Oracle PL/SQL
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and architect solutions
Optimise database queries and code for performance and scalability
Troubleshoot and resolve application issues promptly
Ensure data security and integrity within the applications
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in database application development
Qualifications
Proven experience with Oracle PL/SQL development
Proficiency with database design and optimisation
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Knowledge of Agile development methodology is a plus
Day-to-Day
Collaborating with team members to gather and understand application requirements
Writing and optimising PL/SQL code for various database functions
Testing and debugging applications to ensure functionality and performance
Communicating with stakeholders to gather feedback and implement changes
Researching and implementing best practices for database application development
