Location: York Reference: Jo0691/SB/ETS The Company Based within one of the UK’s leading privately owned food manufacturing groups, my client is looking to recruit an experienced maintenance engineer to add to their existing engineering team. The company is extremely well established and has a reputation which is instantly recognisable within food manufacturing, supplying major blue chip food manufacturing companies. Key Skills Apprentice Trained Engineer in Electrical Experience of PLC systems & Automated machinery Understanding of PPM systems The Role The ideal candidate will come from an electrical engineering background and should be able to work on their own initiative, be a time served engineer with multi-skilling, and have fast moving packaging/food/FMCG manufacturing experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of day-to-day engineering and maintenance activities, ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards and maximising machine efficiencies. If you have worked on PLC systems, it would be advantageous. Also, able and willing to work on labellers, flow wrappers, gearboxes, pumps, general mechanical work, and other manufacturing machinery. There is a huge amount of training on offer, so the successful candidate will be in line to broaden their skills considerably.
