Maintenance Engineer – Harrogate

Night Shift Based – Monday to Thursday The Company My Client, a market-leading food manufacturer to all the major multiples, is looking to expand its management team at its Harrogate manufacturing plant. The company is an extremely well-established business, with over 100 years of experience within their chosen field of specialism. This rapidly expanding group has doubled in size, turnover-wise, in the last 5 years alone; therefore, there is excellent scope for future career advancement. Key Skills Apprentice Trained Engineer in Electrical Engineering Experience in Food/FMCG Ideally Understanding of PPM systems The Role The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of day-to-day engineering and maintenance activities, ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards and maximizing machine efficiencies. The ideal candidate will come from an electrical engineering background and should be able to work on their own initiative, be a time-served engineer with either bias (but multi-skilled), and have fast-moving manufacturing experience. If you have worked on PLC systems within a packaging environment, it would be advantageous. You will also be able and willing to work on gearboxes, pumps, general mechanical work, and other manufacturing machinery. There is a huge amount of training on offer, so the successful candidate will be in line to broaden their skills considerably.
