Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Groundworker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in landscape maintenance and groundskeeping, with hands-on experience in using both power and hand tools. This role involves a variety of tasks related to building and maintaining outdoor spaces, ensuring they are both functional and aesthetically pleasing. Responsibilities Carry out landscape maintenance tasks, including planting, weeding, and pruning. Use power tools and hand tools effectively for various gardening and landscaping projects. Dig trenches for irrigation systems and other installations as required. Maintain gardens by irrigating plants and ensuring they receive adequate care. Assist in building structures such as fences, pathways, and garden beds. Perform regular groundskeeping duties to keep outdoor areas tidy and well-maintained. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and to a high standard. Report any issues or concerns regarding equipment or site conditions to the supervisor. Requirements Proven experience in landscape maintenance or groundskeeping is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate power tools safely. Ability to dig, irrigate, and maintain various types of gardens effectively. Familiarity with hand tools commonly used in gardening and landscaping tasks. A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills. Good physical fitness as the role involves manual labour and working outdoors in varying weather conditions. A valid driving licence is advantageous but not essential.
