University Hospitals of Derby and Burton have an exciting position available for a CT Superintendent Radiographer based at our community diagnostic centres at Florence Nightingale Community Hospital and supporting our CT services across UHDB which include QHB, RDH, Ilkeston Community Hospital and our mobile CT van. The successful candidate will be responsible for the training plans for new staff and the continual development of CT staff across UHDB as well as working clinically to support the CT services. This is a full-time post; however, part-time may be considered for the right candidate. The job will suit a highly motivated experienced CT Radiographer with a desire to lead the development of a team of staff across modern scanners with a varied workload. Main duties of the job
BSc degree in diagnostic radiography or equivalent Current registration with the Health and Professions Council (HCPC) Substantial post-registration practice, resulting in the broadening of expert knowledge and experience Highly specialised knowledge in imaging, underpinned by theory and experience Leadership and/or communication training Management Experience PG Cert CT Knowledge
Expert knowledge in core practice imaging examinations, underpinned by theory and experience Up-to-date breadth and knowledge of radiographic practice Proven track record in training, educating and mentoring Imaging staff Organisational skills PG Cert. in Radiographic Education or equivalent Experience
Advanced communication skills Demonstration of high standards of technical skills Experience and enthusiasm for training staff and students Experience in Radiographic education roles Skills and Ability
