This is a fantastic opportunity to join our vibrant, growing business as a Group Financial Accountant. Reporting to the Group Financial Reporting Manager, this role supports and develops the Group’s financial reporting and governance procedures. Key areas of focus will be PLC filing requirements, PLC Head Office books, the annual budgeting process, technical accounting compliance and tax related activities. Your key responsibilities will include: Assisting on the completion of the Group’s PLC filing requirements e.g. half year and year-end financial statements, including compliance with applicable standards and regulations. Providing advice on technical accounting areas including analysis of the impacts of developments and changes in GAAP and the development of the Group’s accounting policies. Maintaining the accounting records of the head office entities, including technical accounting in areas such as share based payments. Assisting with annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes and ensuring forecasting accuracy of corporate costs. Assisting with group taxation affairs including year-end tax accounting, corporation tax compliance and maintenance of the group tax risk register which feeds into the annual SAO process. Managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including the Group’s auditors, tax advisors and other professional advisors. Ad hoc finance and operational related projects, including supporting financial reporting software implementations. About You First and foremost, you will have a professional qualification (ACA, ACCA or equivalent). You’ll have a high level of technical accounting experience (IFRS and FRS101).
