My client is a Leading National Civil Engineering Contractor.

They specialise in the following sectors:

Highways, Bridges & Structures Ports, Harbours & Marine Environment Agency Projects Flood & Coastal Defence River & Waterway Restoration Works Public Realm Renewable Energy

Key Responsibilities Undertake day to day setting out duties with no supervision. Train, manage and mentor Junior Engineers. Manage and monitor all site sample/performance testing requirements and maintain records in line with the contract specification. Complete hazard/risk assessments and method statements. Manage the site service plans/drawings. Issue permits accordingly. Assist the site QS/Project Manager with providing the relevant information for records and claims purposes. Monitor and control temporary works. Develop and maintain relations with client, suppliers and sub-contractors. Ensure all work complies with quality, safety and environmental policies and the requirements of the company procedures.

Requirements: The company is seeking a proactive problem solver and confident communicator, who has the ability to liaise effectively with a range of other professionals. The ideal candidate will have previous civil engineering experience, particularly highways schemes working for a main contractor. Must also have a CSCS card in the appropriate discipline and have a BSc/HND/HNC qualification or equivalent. You will have a SSTS card as well as ICE membership.

Skills Required Due to the nature of the role, a full UK driving license is essential and the successful candidate will be happy to travel throughout the Southern Region. A First Aid at Work qualification would also be desirable.
