Responsible for all European demand forecasting activities associated with Countries and products. Creation and maintenance of unconstrained demand forecast models for Countries, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from sales, marketing, finance and external market data sources. To act as a conduit between supply chain, finance and the commercial organisation. Role Responsibility
Produce unconstrained demand forecasts across multiple countries and aggregate into a European consolidated demand plan. Interact with sales, marketing and commercial finance to understand demand forecast drivers and improve forecast accuracy. Produce and measure forecast accuracy. Schedule and chair monthly forecast meetings with all Countries in accordance with monthly timetable. Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances between forecasts and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions. Update Country Managers, Business Managers and other key stakeholders about product availability in a timely manner. Provide input to the business in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products and product phase-outs. Use and maintain demand planning system and software. Work with supply chain to set inventory levels based on future customer demands. Prepare, maintain and present where necessary relevant reports pertaining to demand planning process. Review what’s changed from one forecast to the next. Present summary to senior teams from both commercial and supply for sign off. Support the EU senior commercial team with all things related to the S&OP process. The Candidate
3 to 5 years of relevant working experience in a demand planning position within an international Pharmaceutical or FMCG business. Experience of Supply and Operations Planning (S&OP) process and proficiency in forecasting. Strong analytical, organizational, decision making and presentation skills. Good interpersonal skills are essential to effectively interact with all teams. Excellent knowledge of English (verbal and in writing). Willingness to travel within Europe if required.
