We are looking to add a Product Assistant to our product management team, to support product introductions within the LED Lighting Division. The Product Assistant plays a key role in liaising between the Product Management, Compliance, Marketing, Purchasing and Supply departments.

Working closely with the Product Managers (PMs) you will assist in taking products on the journey from inception through our project management process to launch. Along the way you will work closely with each department, creating new product and following the Wrike Project process to ensure everything from compliance documents, product labels, installation leaflets, brochure and web data is delivered in a timely manner to ensure on time product launch.

Main Job Responsibilities: Manage new product introduction and launch process flow using Wrike, recommending any process improvements to improve efficiency. Liaison between departments to ensure all project tasks are completed on time. Supplying information to each department to allow them to complete the allocated tasks. We are implementing PIM and supply of product data to the Data Manager is a critical part of the launch process. Working with Product Management Director to maintain project plans and trackers. Reporting any process bottlenecks so quick action can be taken to prevent delays. Over time, you will work with suppliers to develop an understanding of new products, new technologies, and what is happening in the lighting market. Work with the E-Commerce team to launch, manage, and review the performance of products on various E-Commerce platforms. Provide guidance to the Marketing & Design Team who will produce packaging, instructions, brochures, price lists, and e-commerce pages. Gathering product compliance information, working with suppliers and our in-house Lighting Lab to ensure products are of the highest quality. Working closely with the PMs, you will learn and understand the product stack and help to develop product road maps. Liaising with overseas suppliers to ensure timely delivery of projects.

Requirements: Previous project management experience will be highly desirable, ideally from with the lighting or electrical / electronics industries. Close attention to detail (numeral and written) with an appetite for ensuring data is always complete & correct - this role has a high degree of administrative input so great organisational skills and the ability to focus on a wide range of varied demands on your time. High level of IT literacy, with keen knowledge of Excel and comfortable with manipulating data. Strong Microsoft Office skills combined with the aptitude to quickly pick up and effectively utilise software and applications. A high level of English language proficiency, comfortable with writing and reading technical language and descriptive text. An outgoing and confident personality, with excellent teamwork skills. Creative and driven for success and not afraid to push boundaries and developing new ideas to ensure tasks are completed within deadlines. Working across teams and building positive relationships at all levels. Taking on responsibility, showing strong initiative, and comfortable to challenge the status quo to bring new ideas. Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills. Someone ambitious, self-motivated, and keen to learn and grow. Ideal, but not essential requirements: Previous lighting or electrical / mechanical exposure will be an advantage. A degree level education in an electrical or engineering discipline, ideally with a year in industry experienced as a sandwich degree.
