The Role We have an opportunity for an

Associate

to join our Façade Engineering Practice. This individual will be responsible for project running, supported by a Director and managing more junior members of staff across multiple projects simultaneously. Must be a conscientious and creative, detail-oriented and professional with attentiveness to client communications. Responsibilities Liaises with the project design team independently to develop façade designs. Develops a project plan and budget including staffing and resource needs. Assesses client needs to determine project scope requirements while monitoring project profitability. Mentors and leads internal teams with the ability to delegate, quality check and when necessary perform analysis of façade performance with specialized software (i.e. loading, thermal analysis, condensation risk, geometry); Research on materials and systems to determine specific project suitability; Interpretation of building codes and project/design/construction specifications; Preparing façade detailing in 2D and 3D format for client communication; Participating in construction administration, responding to RFIs and organizes submittal logs; Attending construction meetings, performing site inspections, and preparing field reports for client. Participates in Business development activities and winning work. Engages in team development, particularly in their areas of special interest. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Architecture. Master’s degree preferred. Must have façade engineering consultancy experience running multiple projects.
