SRG are working with a leading waste management and recycling company who have a long and successful history of supporting the UK chemical industry. They are now looking for a Technical Sales Manager to join the team in the West Midlands. The successful candidate will be responsible for the provision of compliant customer solutions through the management of a team of Technical Sales Advisors and Technical Assessors. You will also advise on current legislation as well as provide technical support to the team.
Working hours:
37.5 working hours per week Monday - Friday, flexible start/finish times, Hybrid working - 25 days holiday + bank holidays
Role / Description
Lead, coach, inspire, support and motivate a nationally based team who quote new business solutions for Specialist Services. Deal with environmental compliance issues associated with waste classification, transport, packaging and labelling. Provide technical expertise and support to external clients. Collaborate with internal teams such as technical and operations. Prepare and deliver sales proposals and contracts. Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments. Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
Requirements Degree in Chemical related science or Engineering. DGSA & ADR advantageous but not essential. Proven experience as a Sales Manager in the waste management industry or a related field. Strong technical knowledge of waste management processes, solutions and hazardous waste legislation.
