Showcase the value of your data products to both technical and non-technical audiences
Build a network of Data practitioners across Consumer Lending to influence the tools and platforms that Python developers use across the Group
What you’ll need: Please keep in mind you do not need to be an expert in all the following areas – if you don’t meet all the criteria, you are still encouraged to apply! A strong will and can-do attitude can help overcome any areas where you might need some further work. At least 2-3 years of experience creating package-quality Python tools using key libraries (Conda, Pandas, NumPy, Sklearn)
Specialised in using GitHub within a development team
Experience within a cloud-based environment (ideally Google Cloud Platform)
Desirable : Prior experience developing tools within Financial Services
Experience with Data Science techniques (e.g. statistical modelling, unsupervised or supervised Machine Learning)
A commercial understanding of interpreting product financials and Profit & Loss data
A broad understanding of the regulations and legal framework impacting the credit card industry
