Contracts Manager

to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. This hybrid role is ideally based in Hessle, although we welcome applications from candidates based elsewhere, and offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact across our business. About the Role As Contracts Manager, you'll oversee all contractual and commercial activities, ensuring consistency, compliance, and continuous improvement. From negotiating pre-tender agreements to managing post-tender performance, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our project success. Key Responsibilities: Pre-Contracts & Tendering Lead negotiations on terms and conditions for tender opportunities. Develop commercial qualifications aligned with business goals and risk strategies. Collaborate with teams across project management, legal, and procurement. Draft, review, and finalize framework agreements with supply chain vendors. Establish commercial performance baselines for seamless project handovers. Post-Contracts Resolve legal claims and contractual disputes with favourable outcomes. Maintain consistency with standard contracting principles. Negotiate ancillary documents, including NDAs and partnership agreements. Compliance & Governance Ensure adherence to governance frameworks and industry regulations. Advise on legislative updates to keep the business ahead of compliance requirements. Implement monitoring processes to safeguard legal and contractual obligations. Risk Management Identify and mitigate contractual risks across project lifecycles. Develop and deliver risk management training for teams. Build a strong, competent team for long-term success. To be successful in this role, you should be able to bring the following to the table: Skills & Experience Bachelor’s degree in business, law, or equivalent. Proven experience managing complex contracts for onshore projects. Deep understanding of legislative and compliance frameworks. Key Competencies Exceptional negotiation and communication skills. Analytical mindset with a strong focus on risk management. Collaborative and proactive approach to stakeholder engagement. Track record of delivering value across project lifecycles.
